AEO Foundation’s approach to focus on activities with specific objectives in diverse areas that predate our formal inauguration, including Gender and Vulnerable Group Rights’ Support and Advocacy, Citizens’ Mobilization, Citizen Engagement, and Leadership Engagement, resonates with Ide Gilbert Onyemaelu Okeke, the father of our founder’s meritocracy outlook on life.
In other to ensure a proper highlight on Leadership Engagement as precursor to the enthronement of authentic leadership in Nigeria, and in honour of Ide Gilbert Onyemaelu Okeke, the father of our founder, who believed in meritocracy and authentic leadership, AEO Foundation created the Gilbert Onyemaelu Leadership and Diversity (GOLD) Public Lecture Series, with the central theme: Poverty, Government and Social Development in Rural Nigeria.
